Meanwhile, tornado maps showed a massive twister approaching Athens in Limestone County.

The latest NWS Huntsville press release stated that a tornado warning remains in effect until 9:15 PM CDT for Northeaster Madison, south central Moore, southeastern Lincoln and southwestern Franklin counties.
"At 901 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located 7 miles southeast of Fayetteville, moving east at 25 mph," the agency further added. It said that golf ball size hail is expected.
"Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely."
The NWS added that a tornado will be near Huntland. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Lexie, Crossroads, Smithland, Molino, Plevna, Flintville, Elora, Lincoln, Crystal Springs, and Kelso.
NWS said: "To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris."
