The Vietnam Veterans of America, chapter 380 of Marquette County, convened their scholarship committee in April to consider applications from local students. As a result, Corbin Grim (sponsored by his grandfather, Rodney Linn) and Marisa Hird (sponsored by her grandfather, Michael McCann), were selected to each receive a $750 VVA 380 scholarship (for the descendants of chapter members). Additionally, Howard Johnson (sponsored by his father, Aaron Johnson) and Megan Marta (sponsored by her grandfather, Anthony Marta) were each awarded a $750 veterans memorial scholarship (for the descendants of veterans who do not belong to the chapter).
