"So please head online to play, and be sure to share your feedback with us – we’ll list below all the ways to express your comments."

The developers have also encouraged everyone to report any problems to their help teams.

"If you experience a technical issue, please check with the Customer Support team at Activision. They’re ready to help get you back on track. You can contact them at @ATVIAssist on Twitter.

"If you notice anything that doesn't seem quite right, or simply have feedback and comments – please head to our Reddit thread or Steam post. We’ll be monitoring throughout, so every bit of constructive feedback helps – the more detailed the better."

If you're excited about the new Call of Duty: WWII trailer due to drop on PC this weekend, you might want to make sure you've got the newest NVIDIA driver installed on your PC.

NVIDIA has released its 385.69 Game Ready WHQL display driver which has been optimized for a selection of games, including Call of Duty: World War II.

The updated driver is certainly going to boost the performance of the game on your rig.

The driver update is also optimised for other games including: EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone, FIFA 18, Total War: WARHAMMER II, and the From Other Suns’ open beta.

CALL OF DUTY WW2 BETA UPDATE 1

Michael Condrey, co-founder and chief operating and development officer of Sledgehammer Games, has announced on Reddit last night that the Call of Duty: WWII PC Open Beta will feature changes to the Aachen map.

According to Condrey these changes will be based on feedback received during the PS4 and Xbox One console Beta earlier this month.

It's believed that numerous players had concerns about the overall design for the Aachen map.

Writing on Reddit, Condrey said:

"The Open Beta on the PC incorporates changes based on the feedback and match data we saw during the private Beta earlier this month. One of the more notable set of differences you may notice is the changes we made to the map, Aachen.

"We love that our fans are so passionate and truly are our best and biggest critics. We received a lot of insightful feedback, which we factored with our own internal data, all for the better.

"For example, we’ve modified the cross-lane sightlines for a more defined threat zone when approaching from either side of the map.

"We’ve also adjusted some of the entry and exit pathways to the primary engagement areas to avoid head glitch exploits that we identified during the beta."

Players will be able to see the difference possibly later tonight (more on that below) but at the latest tomorrow at 6PM BST when Sledgehammer has said the beta will start.

ORIGINAL STORY

Call of Duty WW2 fans have already had the chance to sample the game on PS4 and Xbox One but now developers at Sledgehammer are gearing up for the PC open- beta this weekend.

A PC version of the beta was formally announced by Sledgehammer studio head Michael Condrey in a Reddit AMA thread earlier this year.

Fans eager to jump into the game ASAP can already start pre-downloading the game on Steam and Activision support page has said players will have "until Thursday, September 28th" to take advantage of the pre-load. Although it's not clear what time the pre-load will no longer be available.

Writing on their website earlier this month, the developers at Sledgehammer Games have said:

"Thanks to everyone for making the Call of Duty: WWII Private Multiplayer Beta on console a huge success. We received a ton of great feedback and insights that we’re applying across the game on the road to launch.

"We’re also thankful for the open and constructive dialogue throughout the course of the Beta. It meant a lot to every developer who was actively reading comments on Reddit and our social channels. And best of all, it was great to finally be able to play Call of Duty: WWII with the community.

"Now, the Multiplayer Beta is coming to PC as an Open Beta for all PC gamers."

In preparation for the big release, dailystar.co.uk have rounded up all you need to know about the upcoming Call of Duty: WW2 Open Beta from Sledgehammer Games.

Sledgehammer Games have stated that the Call of Duty WW2 PC Beta is scheduled to start this Friday on Steam.

From what fans have been told, the Call of Duty WW2 PC beta is available from Friday, September 29 at 10AM PT, which is 6PM BST for UK players.

It's also planned that the Call of Duty WW2 PC beta will finish on October 2 at 10AM PT, which is again 6PM BST for UK based players.

HOWEVER, there is reason to believe that this is a complete lie.

On two occasions so far the Call of Duty WW2 Beta release on PS4 and Xbox One have both come early.

In both cases, going live the night before.

While there is no concrete evidence it's more than likely that the Call of Duty WW2 PC Beta could go live TONIGHT.

Given that this is a possibility it's best advised that players ensure the beta is pre-loaded now ahead of time so they can jump into the action the second it goes live.

Although this is far from the full experience planned for release on November 3 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, there is still quite a bit to do.and below you'll find an overview

Below you'll find an overview on what you should expect in the Call of Duty PC Open-Beta, however, it's possible that the longer the beta goes on, Sledgehammer Games could make changes and possibly add additional maps, modes and more to experience.

Maps – At least three Multiplayer maps, including Pointe Du Hoc, Ardennes Forest, Aachen and Gibraltar.

War Mode – Operation Breakout

Modes – Fan-favorite modes, including Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed and Hardpoint.

Divisions – Enlist in the Infantry, Expeditionary, Airborne, Armored, or Mountain Division. You are not limited to any one Division, and we encourage you to try them all!

Scorestreaks - Glide Bomb, Artillery Barrage, Molotov

Progression – Players will begin at Soldier Rank 1 and rank up through a limited progression to unlock weapons, scorestreaks, equipment, and Basic Training Skills. However, player progression will not carry over from the PC Open Beta.

As mentioned, this isn't the full retail experience and as such, fans should take note that they can't sample everything just yet.

So to prepare you, below is an overview of what you shouldn't expect to see in the Call of Duty Private Multiplayer Beta.

However, this isn't to say that Sledgehammer Games won't make some of the below features live to PC players at a later date and time during the PC Open-Beta

Headquarters – We’re testing the match-making of this all-new social experience, but access to this space will not be active during the Multiplayer Beta.

Supply Drops and Loot – These customization features that add depth and personality to your soldier will not be included in the Multiplayer Beta.

Esports – Ranked Play, Game Battles, and our suite of competitive features will be accessible when we release in November.

Additional content, including - Full progression, remaining maps and modes, additional War Mode maps, and the full armoury of weapons, scorestreaks, Basic Training, and equipment.
